Welcome to the FAQ page. Finding the right therapist is a significant step, and you likely have several questions. Here, you will find clear, honest answers about the process to help you feel supported and informed as you begin your journey.

There is limited parking available on site. Alternatively, Tesco offers up to 3 hours of free parking, and there is also 2-hour free parking on the High Street nearby.

I work from a private, comfortable space in Baldock, designed to feel calm, safe and confidential. Full details and directions will be shared in your session confirmation.

Yes, I offer both in-person and online sessions via secure video. You can choose whichever feels most comfortable for you.

Sessions are 50 minutes.

Sessions are £55. A payment link will be sent when you book and payment is required at least 24 hours before your session to secure your space.

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged in full.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or not quite like yourself, therapy can help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.

You don’t need to be in crisis, just a sense that something isn’t quite right is enough.

Anything that feels important to you, there’s no “too small” or “too big.”

Many people I work with come with anxiety, body image concerns, low self-esteem or relationship difficulties, but our focus will be shaped around your experience and what you need.

Not at all. It’s very common to begin with a general feeling that something isn’t right. We’ll work together to understand it at your pace.

This is different for everyone. Some people come for a shorter period to work through a specific issue, while others choose longer-term support. We’ll regularly review what feels right for you.

I work in an integrative way, which means I tailor our sessions to you. There’s no one-size-fits-all, we focus on what you need in a way that feels supportive and manageable.

Both. You’ll have space to talk openly and feel heard, but I also offer practical tools and strategies where it feels helpful, especially for managing anxiety, overwhelm and self-critical thoughts.

That’s completely normal. Most people feel some level of anxiety before their first session. We go at your pace, there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready.

Yes, everything you share is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of serious harm), which I’ll explain clearly at the start so you know exactly where you stand.

Yes, I offer a brief initial call so we can see if we feel like a good fit and you can ask any questions before committing.
